Elizabeth Ann Seton Gifted Educator Award

The nomination form for the 2010 Elizabeth Ann Seton Gifted Educator Award is now available. Click here for a PDF of the nomination form. Each nomination requires one (1) nomination form and a minimum of three (3) letters of support.

Any educator (teacher, administrator, etc.) in one of the Catholic Schools within the Northwest Region of the Diocese of Lansing (Clinton, Eaton, Ingham and Shiawassee Counties) is elgible for nomination. If mailed, the nominations packet must have a postmark of no later than April 30, 2010. Packets may also be delivered in person (please call to confirm drop-off time 517-485-8333) or faxed to 517-485-8340 no later than April 30, 2010.

The Gifted Educator receives a $1,000 grant, payable to their school, for use in professional development or the purchase of classroom/teaching aids. In the event this year's Gifted Educator is from St. Therese School, GLCEF will award a need-based $1,000 tuition assistance grant to a St. Therese family that is continuing their child/children's education at another area Catholic School.

The award will likely be presented at the year-end all school Mass, however specific details of the award process will be coordinated with the Gifted Educator's school and parish.
