2008 Catholic Education Appeal

The Catholic Education Appeal (CEA) is the Greater Lansing Catholic Education Foundation’s annual fundraising campaign. Proceeds are used to provide need-based tuition assistance grants for families choosing a Catholic school and to support education in the parishes throughout our region. This is the first year that a portion of the CEA is specifically dedicated to religious education. The Foundation is embracing its position as a region-wide foundation that supports all forms of Catholic education, while need-based tuition assistance remains the top priority.

2008 Catholic Education Appeal Goal

The goal for this region-wide campaign is $125,000. This is an ambitious goal, but we feel confident that Catholics in our region recognize the long-lasting value that Catholic education provides their children, their family and the broader community. There is no doubt that we are facing difficult financial times here in Michigan and as a nation. Frankly, that is what makes contributions for need-based scholarships and support of parish programs more important than ever before. Please consider a gift for Catholic education and religious formation today!

Gifts will be used as follows:

80% for tuition assistance grants for those families choosing Catholic schools in the Northwest Region of the Diocese of Lansing 10% for direct support of religious education programs distributed evenly among all parishes in the Northwest Region of the Diocese of Lansing
10% for operational support of the Foundation
